Registered Massage Therapist

What are you most complimented on in your work?

Probably my neck and shoulder work. That's what most people want extra focus on and over the past 8 years I've worked hard to create techniques that are effective - but still feel good!

Who is your ideal client?

I guess just people who are willing to trust me and my judgement when it comes to their treatment. The body is funny, and sometimes where you might feel the pain isn't actually where the issue is. I do my best to find it, but I need people to trust that I'm not just ignoring the area where the pain is felt.

How long have you been working in your field?

A little over 8 years.

What are you passionate about professionally? Personally?

Professionally, I get so much satisfaction from helping people be able to enjoy life better and with less pain. I also love learning new modalities.

Personally, I love traveling, spending time with family, photography and a few other things, but those are the main things.

What would you do even if you didn’t get paid?

Well, I loved giving massages even before I became a massage therapist, so I would still do it, I suppose. And also photography-whether it's of people or something else. I love it and I would do it even if I didn't get paid for it.

What is your biggest accomplishment prof or personally?

I suppose just the fact that I fell into a career that I am happy in is a huge one. Also, I'm kind of amazed I'm still doing it after 8+ years. It's a surprisingly physical job and a lot of people don't last very long doing it. I hope I can continue to do it for years to come.
