Jaclyn dekens

Clinic Coordinator for PrimSkinMD

What are you most complimented on in your work?

I am probably complimented most at work on my organization and attention to details. I love the challenge that it brings and seeing results. Don’t be fooled though, not every aspect of my life is always organized. I am still learning to find balance.  I also love building relationships, showing up for people, and just sitting back and listening

Who is your ideal client?

I may not have direct contact with our clients, but I am part of an amazing team that motivates me to want to come in to work and I love putting energy into it.  Prim is such a positive, encouraging environment, and that Is what the ideal work environment looks like to me. In my role, I have been given the opportunity to work with an interdisciplinary team of professionals. They are all so humble, willing to adapt to a new and changing environment, and there is no lack of encouragement between anyone. It’s the best.

How long have you been working in your field?

I used to work as a Registered Nurse until about 9 years ago when I gave up my license to be home with my kids. I joined this team in May 2022 as their Clinical Coordinator, and it is exactly where I need to be in this phase of my life.

What are you passionate about professionally? Personally?

Professionally, I love to create ways to make processes run smoothly. I love to learn, to problem solve, and organize of course!

Personally, I would say my family and my faith. I have been blessed with a pretty awesome husband, 3 boys 3 years apart, and a little girl to complete our family. We love spending time together, and I sure hope that lasts as the kids get older! is your biggest accomplishment prof or personally?

What are your goals?

I would say my goals have been quite minimal with 4 little kids at home. I’ve tried to take life day by day for many years and make the best out of whatever situation! Little wins every day to me, are motivation enough. My goal is to always be present for my family, and never get too busy where we can’t give of some of our time to help someone else.  I definitely need to focus on eating healthy and getting more active though.  Small steps!
