Where would you go, if you could?

I’ve been fortunate enough to have travelled my whole life and I have many favourite places… but I really love being home lately - Banff and Waterton have my heart. But I mean, I wouldn’t turn down a trip to Sweden or the British Virgin Islands.

Who do you admire and why?

I admire my mom and dad the most. They gave me the best childhood. We drove around Canada in a yellow Volkswagen bus, lived a really humble life, and with their hard work they made sure we had the opportunity to travel at least once a year. I could list a thousand things but what I value the most is their love for each other. They’re 74 this year, and they still walk every morning holding hands while my dad plays Annie’s song by John Denver - as he brings my mom her morning coffee (the sweetest!). That’s been a 50+ year tradition. They taught me what love is.

How long have you been working in your field?

I began my continuous training in massage therapy in 2007. I am inspired by Eastern healing methods, myofacial cupping, Thai energy massage, Asian stone therapy, and Balinese massage. In more recent years I have attained close to 500 hours in yoga teaching certification - it’s incredible how these two therapies compliment each other. It’s not uncommon for me to send a client home with a handful of stretches to prolong the results of the session. I truly love my job, my clients, and my work space.
